My Role
Las Provincias is a Spanish newspaper published in Valencia and founded in 1866. It is currently the second largest daily newspaper in the province of Valencia in terms of circulation and readership, according to the OJD and the Estudio General de Medios (EGM). Las Provincias has been part of the Vocento publishing group since 2000
Naming
PODSTAR
The name combines the word PODCAST (something technological, modern and alternative) with STAR (with codes close to the fan phenomenon for current content generators)
Creative concept
FOR PRINT AND DIGITAL ADS
The podcasts stars are the main characters. They are shown dressed in a star-like halo to express that almost magical state in which content is generated (inspiration), and the idol or star status they have for their followers. All this is combined with sound waves and a technological style.
The podcast stars are placed opposite each other to show the idea of competition or rivalry that is at the heart of any competition.

To communicate the rules of the competition and to facilitate registration and voting
The campaign included print, digital and social media, and was split into two parts: one to encourage entries to the competition and the other to encourage users to vote for their favourite podcasts
The digital campaign was launched with formats such as 300×600, 1200×250, 1200×80, 320×100, etc. on lasprovincias.es and its social networks.
The eight-week ad campaign, attracted nearly 100 participating podcasts and more than 1,100 votes in the popular vote, making this the first successful edition of the competition.
Some of the podcasts entered in the competition belong to well-known film and television stars, such as ‘Nadie sabe Nada’ by Andreu Buenafuente and Berto Romero or ‘La cita de tu vida’ by Alba Flores and Fran Perea.
